Suresh Wadkar Returns With Soulful Romantic Track ‘Suno Na’

MUMBAI (IANS)-  Suresh Wadkar has released a romantic track, “Suno Na,” expressing that the song’s emotional sincerity deeply resonated with him.

Wadkar shared his connection to the song, stating, “‘Suno Na’ is a song that spoke to me. It possesses an emotional sincerity rarely found in today’s fast-paced world. The melody is gentle, the lyrics are thoughtful, and I felt deeply connected to the soul of this composition. I’m proud to be a part of it.”

“Suno Na” is described as a modern love ballad that delves into themes of yearning, introspection, and the quiet strength of love. The song features lyrics by Puneet Gururani, composition by Sanjay Chitale, and music arrangement and programming by Shubham Saurabh.

Suresh Wadkar, a recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Sugam Sangeet in 2018 and a Padma Shri, has a celebrated career in playback singing. His journey began in 1976 when he won the Sur-Singar competition, judged by esteemed composers like Jaidev and Ravindra Jain, who subsequently introduced him to the film industry.

Wadkar’s first film song was “Sona Kare Jhilmil Jhilmil Vrishti Pade Tapur Tupur” in the 1977 film Paheli. Impressed by his voice, Laxmikant-Pyarelal soon recorded a duet with Lata Mangeshkar, “Chal Chameli Bagh Mein,” for Krodhi. He went on to lend his voice to songs in films such as Hum PaanchPyaasa Sawan, and Raj Kapoor’s Prem Rog.

He became a frequent voice for the R.K. Banner, singing for Rishi Kapoor in films like HennaPrem GranthBol Radha Bol, and Vijay. He also sang for Rajiv Kapoor in Ram Teri Ganga Maili. Among his most iconic songs are “Tum Se Milke” from Parinda, “Aye Zindagi Gale Laga Le” from Sadma, and “Gori Sapno me hai” from Insaaf ki Manzil.
